This DB4GT, 40 MT (DB4GT/0167/R) was the road test car for ' Autosport' magazine in the 8th December 1961 edition. It was built as a Works experimental lightweight chassis and demonstration car, fitted with a Zagato specification engine. It has appeared in a number of books on the marque and in films - see Register for details.
In this photo, note the extra mirror fitted to the windscreen (presumably for road test purposes), the two grille badges, one of which (the AMOC badge) indicates that the car was already privately owned when road tested. The swept-back headlights are characteristic of late series DB4s and were introduced as standard for DB5 models.
