Photograph of an Aston Martin Le Mans 2/4 Seater completing the Alpine trial in 1934. The back of the photograph is marked up in what appears to be Dudley Coram's handwriting. The photograph is from the finish on the Stelvio pass time trial section on the 4th day of the Alpine Trial. The driver was John Cadbury, who won a Glacier cup for retaining 1,000 points across the event. The photograph is copyright stamped to 'Autocar' magazine.
The photo is taken from the reverse side of the Finish line banner. This is printed "GLA 1934" at an angle and "Ziel Bergprulung, Arivee cotes controles". This translates as "Mountain trial - finish line control".
