Description

Press Photograph of the first running Aston Martin DB7 i6 prototype, rear 3/4 view. This prototype had BBS cross-pattern wheels, a 'clamshell' bonnet that extended down each side of the bonnet and non-standard door mirrors, as well as a sun roof. It is not the prototype with the sunroof in the care of the AMHT. Part of a set of images of the car.The clamshell bonnet proved too large to produce and was soon replaced by the "standard" bonnet panel.
According to the 2011 Register, this is Concept 01, the first NPX prototype and fitted with a Jaguar XJ41 engine. See also Andrew Noakes book, 'Aston Martin DB7 - The Complete Story'. p.54, for a photo of this car.
